Miranda Lambert and boyfriend Anderson East walked the 2016 CMA Awards red carpet together on Wednesday night (Nov. 2). The couple went for a darkly glamorous look, which made The Boot's best dressed list, and on Thursday (Nov. 3), Lambert shared on Instagram a photo of herself and East on the red carpet, along with a sweet caption loving on her beau and thanking her stylists. The comments on her picture, however, were not all kind, and early Friday (Nov. 4), Lambert used Instagram to respond.

"[Wednesday] night, I was all dolled up and 'out on the town' with my sweet man at the CMA Awards in Nashville. I was excited about the night and posted a picture. Just now when I looked, I realized so many comments were judgmental and negative," Lambert writes, calling those commenters "cowardly people hiding behind a keyboard or a cell phone writing their useless comments about our eyes and clothes and body language."

"What a bunch of bulls--t," she continues. "Thank y'all for reminding me why I read books, write songs and spend most of my time with animals and people I trust and love."

Lambert ends her post with a quote by Maya Angelou. The photo that Lambert shared along with her comments is, in her words, "something really personal": a picture of Lambert on her Gypsy Vanner horse Leiani, riding through a wooded area.

"[I'm] not promoting anyone or anything. Not selling a better version of myself to anyone or trying to look cool like we all do all the time," she explains. "My friend Tommy snapped it on a trail ride on his phone at golden hour on the farm in TN. What a blessing. I'm wearing yoga pants and no makeup ..."

On Nov. 18, Lambert will release her new album, The Weight of These Wings; the project will be the first on a brand-new label imprint, Vanner Records, a joint venture between Lambert and her longtime label home, Sony Music Nashville.
