Mori Jo Meling and Patrick Conkrite of Machesney Park had a low-key, private Mexican wedding planned for Wednesday, March 8, but had to quickly come up with Plan B after Mary Jo was rushed to the hospital for emergency brain surgery.

I think it's safe to say that no woman's dream wedding involves a hospital chapel or medical machinery as your bridal gown accessory, but that is exactly what happened to Mori Jo Meling.  Mori Jo was rushed to OSF Medical Center late last week to undergo major brain surgery after doctors discovered a lemon-sized cyst and pea-sized tumor in her body.

What do you do in a situation like this? Get depressed and cancel all your wedding plans? Nope. Meling and Conkrite made lemonade out of lemons and stayed true to their planned wedding date.

I think the love these two newlyweds share is incredibly inspiring, especially the fact that Mori Jo was physically able to walk down the aisle just 5 days after major brain surgery and look AMAZING while doing it! You go girl, and a huge congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Conkrite from all of us here at Q98.5. Enjoy your upcoming honeymoon in Mexico!
