The Queen of Hearts Raffle has rolled over again.

The pot for Tuesday night's Queen of Hearts raffle at the McHenry VFW was for over $6 million and nobody won. That means it rolls over again and the organizers have said that someone WILL win it next week. They'll just keep drawing names until someone picks the Queen of Hearts.

I'm not going to go into how the whole raffle works. That was discussed in a previous blog about the raffle. What you need to know is that if you want a chance to win you need to get over to the McHenry VFW sometime between now and Tuesday night (with cash, no cards. Also remember they are closed on Mondays) and buy some tickets. You don't have to be present to win.

The final jackpot isn't known at the time since all of this week's ticket purchases will be added to the pot. It's grown by $1.5 million over the past few weeks so it's not a stretch to say that an additional 1 or 2 million will be added to the pot, bringing the total to possibly around $8 million.

If you win you get 60% of the pot. 20% goes to the VFW and 20% goes to starting the next jackpot.

Please remember that if you win and heard of it hear that a 10% finders fee is customary, more is always appreciated. Good luck!
