We almost made it through a full week without another Detroit recall. This one involves Mazda. Details here.

Mazda is recalling some SUVs because the fuel filler pipe can rupture in a rear crash and cause a gas leak and possible fire. Not good.

According to FOX-6Now News, "The recall covers nearly 237,000 CX-5 SUVs from the 2014 and 2015 model years".

Apparently, researchers discovered the problem by crash testing. The fuel line ruptured and spilled fuel that exceeded limits set by crash test standards. There have been no reports of fires or injuries as of yet, but Mazda is being pro-active with the recall.

Watch your mail or go to your nearest Mazda dealer for more information if you own the vehicle in recall.

Be safe out there.
