Scott Wolford is a 51-year-old man from Chesterton, Indiana who is attempting to swim across Lake Michigan in 70 hours wearing only his swimming suit, goggles and a swim cap all in the name of clean water.

Wolford's record setting swim attempt began at 5 a.m. from the Ohio Street Beach on Thursday, August 18, and had to be called off after 14 hours and 58 minutes in the water thanks to Mother Nature's storms. It was a tough call for him to make.
