Magnificent Mile Lights Festival Is This Saturday
Mickey and Minnie Mouse are in Chicago preparing for the annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival this weekend. Here's what you'll see when you check out the Country's largest evening holiday celebration just down I-90 from Rockford.
According to ABC Chicago, this Saturday, November 22, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse of The Walt Disney World Resort will lead a magical tree lighting parade down The Magnificent Mile, illuminating more than one million lights on 200 trees along the way. There's even a firework display above the Chicago River to cap off the night time fun.
The day's activities lead up to the much-anticipated tree lighting parade. Grand marshals Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will then appear together at 5:30 pm on an awe-inspiring float as they lead more than 40 magnificent floats, larger-than-life balloons, classic characters from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, lively marching bands from around the country and celebrity appearances by Dee Snider, Brendan James, Sabrina Carpenter, Anna and Elsa from Disney on Ice Frozen and more.
If you're up for a short drive down I-90, dress warm and bring your umbrellas. Also, don't forget your cameras.
