The Carpenter's Place is one of Rockford's best shelters and they need some help.

A good pair of boots could mean the world to a homeless person during the winter and The Carpenter's Place is completely out of the popular sizes.

They will obviously take any donations that are in good shape, but they are particularly looking for winter boots in men's sizes of 8-11 and women's sizes of 6-9.

If you have boots or anything else you would like to donate, you can drop them off at one of their three collection locations.

  • 4571 Guilford Road, Rockford, IL 61107
  • 308 W. State Street, Suite 100, Rockford, IL 61101
  • 9883 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL (just north of the Target on 173)

You can also have Amazon deliver boots directly to the shelter. Just purchase on Amazon like you usually do, just change the shipping address to:

This is the type of thing that Christmas is about. Please remember those who are in more need than yourself.
