One local church in Belvidere has offered the community of Stillman Valley help in dealing with their grief with use of their comfort dogs.

As sad and shocking as the accident was leaving the community stunned and grieving for the loss of two lives, I think what Immanuel Lutheran Church is doing is a great thing.

I can't tell you how many times I've turned to the comfort of my pets when feeling sad. Although they can't speak just them being there and the soft feeling of their fur under your hand is rather calming and peaceful.
