An Illinois Police officer was doing a routine check on an abandoned vehicle when she was almost crushed by an oncoming car that had lost control. Watch this scary video.

Kendall County Sheriff's Deputy Robyn Williams is lucky to be alive after narrowly escaping what could have been a deadly accident.

Officer Williams was walking back to her squad car after checking on a car parked along the side a two lane road when another vehicle lost control through a curve in the road. The SUV (which looks like a Ford Explorer) was clearly traveling to fast on the slippery road when it lost control, crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a car, and crashing into an unaccompanied vehicle. Had Officer Williams not turned around when she did she may had been killed.

What a scary moment.

Kendall County Now said two individuals were taken to the hospital for injuries, as was Officer Williams. She is still in the hospital recovering from injuries caused in this video. We wish her a speedy recovery. According to KCN, the driver of the SUV was cited for driving too fast for conditions and not having valid registration.
