Little Cubs Field Making Its Debut at Chicago Cubs Convention
Freeport, Illinois may be rolling in some extra tourism dollars this year if Little Cubs Field's wish comes true next weekend in Chicago.
The 2019 Chicago Cubs Convention will be taking place at the Sheraton Grand Chicago next Friday through Sunday, January 18-20, and for the first time ever, representatives from Freeport's Little Cubs Field will be there too!
Denny Garkey, Vice President of Little Cubs Field, recently told 13 WREX , "of the Chicago Cub fan base in the Chicago area, probably less than 10 percent know that we exist. And that’s Little Cubs Field, they don’t even know it exists. When they find out it exists, they want to come and they come in droves".
Our fingers are crossed that this exposure not only brings more people to Freeport, but to Rockford as well. After all, this city has a whole lot of baseball awesomeness to share with all fans of the game.
