A family in Belvidere is holding a motorcycle ride this Sunday to honor a fallen soldier and to help support students in reaching for their dreams.Lance Corporal Branden Ramey died in 2004 during his deployment. His dream was to return to Belvidere to become a  high school teacher. His family and friends are remembering him this weekend with a motorcycle drive  to support the Branden Ramey Scholarship Fund.

This fund was created to help local students in their pursuit of their dreams. Although Branden didn't reach his as a high school teacher, they want to make sure his legacy lives on in further students to be what they want to be and to remember that their freedom of choice was granted due to Branden and other soldiers laying down their lives to give us that.

WREX reports that ride is this Sunday from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. at Concordia Lanes Bar and Grill on Logan Avenue in Belvidere. The ride will start and end at Concordia.

The cost is $20.00 a driver and $10.00 a passenger. The prices also includes food and the event will have a 50/50 drawing, raffles, silent auction, and door prizes.

100% of the proceeds will go towards the Branden Ramey Memorial Scholarship Fund.
