According to the release, officers were sent to 33 S. Main St. to check on a possible suicidal subject. When officers arrived, a woman was threatening to jump from the rooftop of a three-story building.

Officer Daniel Schoonover, who was wearing the body cam, found a way to the top of the building. He quickly approached the woman, who was threatening her own life. Schoonover pulled her from the ledge and brought her to safety.

Janesville Deputy Chief John Olsen said "the officers’ calm, quick, and decisive actions are credited with saving the female’s life."
