IRS Website Screwed Up Yesterday And Now They’re Like, ‘OK, Fine’
Paying taxes isn't fun. Paying taxes really isn't fun when the IRS website has a glitch and won't allow you to pay electronically. This is exactly what happened on "tax day" in the United States. Grant it, the glitch wasn't necessarily the IRS's fault, but people were still up in arms.
Finally, after the millions of procrastinators began venting their frustrations the IRS learned of the problem and was like, "ok, fine."
If didn't even bother filing taxes yesterday (and still haven't) you have until 11:59:59 p.m. tonight to do this. Consider it your 'get of jail free' card.
Taxpayers do not need to do anything to receive this extra time.
