Intense Video of Belvidere School Bus vs Car Crash Released

A serious school bus vs. car accident, that sent 12 Belvidere Middle School children and one driver to the hospital, was caught on video the moment it happened.

The Rockford Register Star reports that the accident occurred on Wednesday at 3:30pm near the intersection of Orth and Beloit Rds in Boone County. The video was captured by a nearby resident on their private home security camera.

As many as 10 Belvidere Central Middle School students were taken to Belvidere and Rockford hospitals after a school bus collided with a car and tipped over onto its side this afternoon near Orth and Beloit roads in Boone County.

The school bus can be seen making contact with a vehicle. After the collision, the bus ended up on it's side. Injuries were reported, but none appear to be serious at this time.
