Dreaming of big bucks? If you live in Illinois you will be out of luck as of Wednesday.

Illinois is one messed up state! Lottery officials have abounced that as of Wednesday at 9 p.m. you will no longer be able to purchase Powerball lottery tickets in Illinois, and it's not just Powerball that's affected, but as of 9:45 p.m. on Friday, you will no longer be able to get Mega Millions game tickets, either..

The reason? Springfield! No budget = No Mega millions and Powerball lottery sales.

Fox 32 is reporting that if Illinois Legislators don't get a budget approved, then the sales of mega millions and Powerball will be suspended in Illinois, because Illinois won't have the funds to pay winners.

If you purchase your tickets before the cut off time, your ticket winnings, if you should so lucky to win, will be paid. If you happen to subscribe to the lottery and automatically purchase your tickets, your ticket subscription will be cancelled.

if you happen to be lucky enough to win an amount of over $25,000, you can expect a delay in getting paid by the Illinois comptroller's office.

If you win $600 or less, you can continue to take that ticket to the place you purchased the ticket to collect your winnings
