The Illinois State University Trustees have approved an increase in tuition and fees. Here's why and what you will be paying.

 

Illinois State University trustees have approved a 1.6 percent increase in tuition and fees in response to expected cuts in state funding.

According to WAND17 News, the Board of Trustees made the decision today, Saturday May 30. It affects incoming students. There will be no increase in room and board rates.

The increase means new in-state freshmen will pay $359 per credit hour and out-of-state freshmen will pay $620 per credit hour. In-state graduate students will pay $374 per credit hour and out-of-state graduate students will pay $777.
