Taking a picture in front of Las Vegas' famous welcome sign is a must for every Vegas first-timer. Now it's going to be a must for an entirely different and heartbreaking reason.

Earlier this week we shared the story of Greg Zanis, a carpenter from Aurora, Illinois that was constructing 58 white crosses to bring to Vegas to honor the shooting victims. Well, Zanis and his crosses have arrived, and the memorial he set up provides a powerful reminder of the tragedy that occurred on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

I got goosebumps when I first saw some of these pictures. This is what the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign looks like today...

What moves me almost as much as those pictures is the fact that Las Vegas police officers and a train of other people helped  place each one of those crosses.
