If you watched Sunday's town hall presidential debate there really not much to smile about, with the exception of Ken Bone. This guy represents the real America and if he were running, he would be the guy I would vote for.

You recall Ken, right? He was the guy in the audience who got to ask a question to Hillary and Donald on National TV. His average guy demeanor and his question about pollution and energy got everyone's attention.

What really caught the attention of everyone watching was the red Christmas sweater Ken wore and the rest is history.

The reason I can relate and most Americans can relate to Ken is because he is dead honest. Ken revealed the real reason he wore that red sweater:

He split his pants! C'mon, how many of you would be willing to admit to a curious nation an embarrassing fact like that?  Would Donald and Hillary ever be so honest, not a chance in heck!

Ken told CNN's Carol Costello:

I had a really nice olive suit, and my mother would have been very proud to see me wearing on television, but apparently I have gained about 30 pounds, and when I went to get in my car the morning of the debate I split the seat of my pants all the way open. So the red sweater is plan B. I’m glad it worked out.

I love the honesty. Since Ken Bone resides here in Illinois, if he were ever to run for state office, I would vote for him in a heartbeat.  I would even consider voting for him for President in the future.

Ken keep up the honesty, you made Illinois proud.
