Illinois ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ Pop-Up Bar Will Require Reservations

Clarence and George Bailey are thrilled, as are tons of fans of the movie "It's a Wonderful Life".  Starting the first week of December, Nick's, the bar made famous in the classic holiday movie, will 'pop up' in Berwyn, IL. But, if you want to go, there is a catch.

Last week, FitzGerald’s Sidebar in Berwyn, announced on social media that every Wednesday in December, they will be offering a weekly pop up bar based on the drinking establishment featured in the classic 1946 holiday movie starring jimmy Stewart..

The Roosevelt Room transforms FitzGerald's SideBar into Nick’s, an “It’s a Wonderful Life” themed pop-up bar, every Wednesday in December (6th, 13th, 20th and 27th). The Nick’s pop-up is the go to place for those who want to revel in holiday cheer, have a nostalgic experience, enjoy a craft cocktail and listen to top-notch jazz.

However, the large number of people( totaling over 5000 ) responded to the posting. So the bar has announced that if you would like to attend the bar, on one it's 'It's A Wonderful Life' theme nights, you will have to make reservations.

The drink specials include:

• “ZuZu’s Petals” which is  a mulled wine
• Clarence the angel’s “Flaming Rum Punch.”

The owners of the bar are encouraging patrons to come dressed in costume, and yes the bartender will be named "Nick". Don't misbehave otherwise....
