Three cases of mumps have been confirmed at an Illinois High School.

WGN-TV is reporting that Huntley High School has confirmed three cases of mumps earlier this fall.

Mumps is very contagious but often the symptoms don't appear until weeks after you're exposed to the disease.

WGN shares the following symptoms to be aware of: fever, headache, muscle aches, tiredness, and loss of appetite followed by swelling of the salivary glands, which causes puffy cheeks and a tender, swollen jaw.
