Illinois Conservation Police Need Help Finding Person Who Shot Dog in Ogle County

There are few things that make my blood boil faster than someone mistreating or abusing an animal. When I saw this post come across the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police Facebook page yesterday, I nearly lost my mind.

After taking a few minutes to calm myself upon reading that, I feel like I must now acknowledge that what happened to this beautiful dog could have been a very tragic accident. I am now choosing to believe that, and not that some sick individual purposely murdered Jackson.

Either way, if you know anything about the circumstances surrounding Jackson's death, please contact the numbers or emails listed above to bring a bit of peace to a grieving family.

If you are the one who did this, especially if it was an accident, please confess...I'll just leave it at that.
