Illinois and Wisconsin take a look! Kellogg's just announced a recall on their Eggo Nutri-Grain waffles due to listeria contamination. Eek! These are Eggo's you'll want to let go of.

According to WGN, Kellog's announced earlier today, Monday, that they were recalling a small number of their Eggo Nutri-Grain brand of waffles (about 1,000 cases).

The waffles could possibly be contaminated by listeria. Although, there have been no reports of anyone getting sick the company doesn't want to take any chances.

The infected waffles were distributed in over 25 states including Illinois and Wisconsin.

If you've recently purchased any of their nutri-grain whole wheat line of their waffles check and see if yours has any of the following on the box:

Kellogg’s ® Eggo® Nutri-Grain® Whole Wheat Waffles

UPC Code: 38000 40370

The “Used by” date will read either November 21st and 22nd of 2017.

The date code can be found on the side of the package.

If you box of waffles dose match the above recall information the company is asking that you throw them out immediately and contact them for your full refund. You can call them at 1-800-962-1413, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET or visit them on-line at www.kellogs.com/en_US/contact-us.html.

Whew! I'm safe. I just bought Eggo's the other day but thankfully mine aren't the Nutri- Grain kind.
