IDOT Warns of Buckled Pavement

The hot weather is not only hard on us, our animals, but also our streets.

IDOT warns to be on the look out for buckled pavement.

In a report from WREX, IDOT warns that our some of roads could buckle under the extreme hot temperatures. The constant high heat causes the roads to expand then contract which results in the roads buckling causing very ruff and uneven road surfaces.

If you spot any troubled areas, slow down and move over.
