Today I read a story about one family's near-drowning experience on Today Parents and it shook me to the core. We know we have to watch our kids like a hawk around water, but reading about how fast drowning can happen terrifies me. My family spends our summers around water at our cottage on the lake. I know how fast my 19 month old daughter can get into trouble if I turn my back for one second. I will be memorizing this information, and perhaps you should too.
