If you're wanting to know how you can help the victims of the Fairdale tornado, the Village of Kirkland has all the details.

I spoke with the village this morning over the concern of seeing several different Facebook pages asking for help. I was informed that they couldn't confirm the legitimacy of those Facebook pages.

However, their website, VillageofKirkland.com is the official page that has all the up to date postings of information of what is needed from donations to volunteering.

All volunteers according to the village official, are registered through and work with Americorp. This organization is coordinating all the volunteer activities.

As for donation, I was told that the outpouring of physical donations (food, water, clothing, etc..) since Thursday evening has been overwhelming. The village is running out of space to store the items. They no longer need those items .

What they are collecting are donations of Pre-paid Visa gifts cards, through the Kirkland Fire Department. Other monetary donations can be made through the Go Fund Me account that's been set up through the Alpine Bank location in Kirkland.
