Muhammad Ali's public services will be held later this week in his home town, here are the details if you would like to go.

We lost a legend.

I had to break the news to my husband late Friday evening that Muhammad Ali passed away. He was incredibly devastated as much as the world was.

Regardless if you are a boxing fan or not, the name Muhammad Ali is one of the most recognizable among sports. He has one of the most inspiring and incredible life stories of any athlete in the 20th century.

Fans world wide will gather at one of his two public memorial services later this week in Louisville, Kentucky. If you would like to go, here are the details according to WTVO:

The first will be a jenazah, a Muslim funeral prayer service, Thursday at noon.

It will be held at Freedom Hall, which fans will know is the site of Ali's last fight in Louisville.

The trip down from Rockford should only take a little over six hours. It could easily be done in a day. If you leave early Thursday morning, you should be able to make it by noon for the service. All faiths are welcome.

I'd plan on attending the second service, you will need to book a hotel to stay the night.

Friday, the second service will be Friday at Ali's funeral.

The funeral will take place at the KFC Yum! Center at 2 p.m. This basketball arena holds 22,000 people! Ali will be driven through the streets of Louisville before arriving at the arena.

Former President Bill Clinton, Bryant Gumbel, Billy Crystal, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and King Abdullah II of Jordan will be among the speakers.

The KFC Yum! Center isn't far from Thursday's public service, only about 15 minutes or so.

After the service, it will take you much longer to get home from Kentucky as I would imagine traffic to be an absolute nightmare.

But, if you are a fan and can take the time off work, a quick six hour drive could be in your future.

If you can not make it to either service, but would like to be a part of his remembrance, you can watch the funeral on a live stream HERE.

Will you be making the drive to see Ali?
