Now that I have my Retro Prom outfit all together, the next step is the make up.

How to get that 80s look?

I'm a child of the 80s. I was a preteen and teen during that totally tubular time. However, I wasn't allowed to wear make up until I was 13. Even with my Dad's rule about make up at that age, it was very limited at best. A little blush, a little lip gloss and had to go easy on the eye shadow.

I remember my older sister's wearing the bright blue or dark purple lids and bright lipsticks. I remember sneaking into their make up and trying it on when no one was home too.

I'm thinking either going with shades of purple or hot pink to match up with my outfit. Maybe even go heavy with the black eyeliner too. Hmm?

If you need a bit of a brush up with your 80s make up, myself included, here's a great video from About How to help.

Just remember the bolder and wilder the color the better it will be.

Oh and don't forget the big teased out hair and lots & lots of Aqua Net!

Can't wait to see what everyone is going to look like tomorrow night.

It's the Totally Retro Prom at Giovanni's a benefit for the Boys & Girls Club. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $20 dollars in advanced until 11:59pm tonight!
