If your family is like mine, we try to soak up every ounce of Halloween fun the Rockford area has to offer.

Our Halloween to-do list always includes a stop at each of our local apple orchards, The Pumpkin Patch in Caledonia, Locktoberfest at Lockwood Park, All Hallow's Eve at Midway Village, and now, our newest addition, Haunted Hoo!

Haunted Hoopresented by Slaughter House, is happening at Hoo Haven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center in Durand on October 13 and October 20 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Hoo Haven is home to its share of "scary" creatures, but this event promises to be fun for the whole family according to Facebook:

This event will feature a haunted trail full of ghouls, zombies, clowns and you might even see a crazy hillbilly or two...

This event is 1 to 4 and is a scary but not so scary event as it is in the day time - So bring the kids...

Admission to Haunted Hoo is $7 per person, but...you can save $2.00 on your admission by RSVP'ing to the event here.
