It's a dream come true for any Chicago Cubs fan. You can take part in the first ever Battle of The Bats Home Run Derby at Wrigley Field and have Chicago Cub Legend Kerry Wood throwing to you for charity. Details on how to get involved are here.

The name of Chicago Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood is a household name in my household as a die-hard Cubs fan. Imagine standing at home plate at Wrigley Field, Kerr Wood on the mound tossing in a fast ball and you hitting a home run. That dream can come true along with your friends cheering you on, all in the name of charity.

The Battle of the Bats Derby will be similar to the Major League All Star Home Run Derby. Kerry wood's event is scheduled for Thursday, June 18. Proceeds will benefit the Wood Family Foundation and Cubs Charities, which help support Chicago kids. Thanks to ABC 7 Chicago, you can watch Kerry Wood tell you about the event, what he thinks of the new Wrigley Field and what he thinks of the 2015 Cubs here.

All participants will receive:
Battle of the Bats Uniform (hat, jersey and pants)
Batting practice with Kerry Wood and friends
Fielding tips with Cubs alumni
Food and beverages during the event
Name on the new Wrigley Field video board
Tickets to the post-event party for participants and a guest
Spectator tickets for participants
Baseball signed by Kerry Wood and friends with commemorative case.

It's the chance of a lifetime to look down Kerr Wood from home plate at Wrigley, win or lose.

Here's hoping this is the first of many derby's at Wrigley for the charities.
