In 2018 no company can afford to skip reviewing all products with print, especially marketing campaigns. Too bad the clothing giant H&M didn't remember to do this because now they look dumb and racist. Someone within the company allowed this product photo to go online and, as you can imagine, the social media world lit them up.

That's a perfect reaction. So is labeling it a "bonehead" move. Actually, that might be an understatement. And, after the outpouring of anger, the company announced it has pulled the ad and product globally. Good move, H&M 'suits and ties', but don't sweat it too much because sooner or later someone else will mess up and your lack of attention will be forgotten. Maybe.

According to Chicago Tribune, H&M did apologize and included the wording "deeply sorry." They also acknowledged the bonehead oversight... and someone will probably be fired.

It is obvious that our routines have not been followed properly. This is without any doubt. We will thoroughly investigate why this happened to prevent this type of mistake from happening again.

Note: These hoodies are NOT available at H&M's Rockford locations.
