Hit the ‘Backyard’ This Month to Help Rockford’s Gigi’s Playhouse
October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and Rockford is home to an amazing resource and support center for local Down syndrome families. It's called Gigi's Playhouse, and I know for a fact that the services they provide are life changing for so many awesome families.
The therapeutic and educational programming their offer to Down syndrome families is free, so it obviously takes a lot of money to keep the doors open. Gigi's Playhouse has a lot of fundraising opportunities happening this October, including a special dinner event at the Backyard Bar & Grill in both Loves Park and Roscoe.
According to the Gigi's Playhouse in Rockford's Facebook;
Join us at either of the Backyard Grill & Bar locations October 11th from 5:00-8:00 pm and 20% of the food bill will go to GiGi's Playhouse Rockford. We will have a basket of goodies at each location to raffle off as well...tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20. We will be at 6573 N. Second St. in Loves Park or 5390 Elevator Rd in Roscoe, so come out and bring the whole family.
