High Winds Wreaked Havoc On Downtown Rochelle

This weekend's windy weather brought extensive damage to a building in downtown Rochelle Sunday morning, causing an entire block to be closed. Thankfully no injuries were reported and neither was structural damage aside from this incident.

Wind gusts surpassed 50 m.p.h. for much of northern Illinois causing garbage cans and other loose items to blow all over the place and was even blamed on a few vehicular accidents. The wind also tore part of a roof off of a building in downtown Rockton.

The debris is cleared as of this article's completion.
