With the Easter right around the corner here's something fun for your kids, grand kids or nieces and nephews that you can do with them this weekend. Make Edible Play Dough using Peeps! That's right it's a play dough that not only the kids can play with but you don't have to be worried if the little ones decide to put it in their mouths.

All you need are 3 simple ingredients: A Box of Peeps, Coconut Oil, and Powdered Sugar for Edible Play Dough.

For one child:
3 peeps
1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil
3 Tablespoons of powdered Sugar (and some more for dusting)

Stick the peeps and the coconut oil in the microwave for 10 seconds, just enough to watch the peeps “grow” with the heat.  Add the powdered sugar and stir.  As you stir in the bowl, the dough should begin pulling away from the edges of the bowl.  Lightly dust your lump with powdered sugar and work out any additional lumps in your dough with your hands.

If your dough is too sticky, add more powdered sugar, if it is cracking, add a touch more oil.

How fun is this?I mean look, the kids get sweet treat while they have something to be creative with at the same time. Heck, you can even make it into and art lesson. Ok, Art Teachers, Day Care Workers, Mom's and babysitter's this one is for you.

Hmmm, although my nieces and nephews are a bit older I'm still tempted to do this with them this weekend. Actually it's really because I want to try it.

Why didn't anyone think of this when we were kids?!
