Rockford Sharefest is back again to help beautify our community. This year instead of fixing up one of Rockford schools, they going to be cleaning up Alpine Park and Pool.

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since this initiative from Heartland Community Church began, and it is so awesome to see what they've done and continue do to help our beautify, strengthen and bring back pride to the Rockford community.

Volunteers are needed the week of June 3rd through June 11th  to "refinish all of the picnic tables, paint the exterior of the building, the locker rooms, refinish all of the benches in the locker room areas and just adding life back to the pool."

If you're interested in volunteering your time whether for a few hours one day or maybe the whole time visit www.rockfordsharefest.com

This is a wonderful cause to get behind. I've spent a few times working with various radio stations in the area helping to support and volunteer with Rockford Sharefest. If you want to feel that sense of pride and know that your doing something that will have lasting results, I highly recommend you join this project this year.
