"Oh. My. Gawd,"  it has been 20 years since we first met Ross, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Monica and Phoebe. Can you believe it?

The date was September 22, 1994 when we first saw 6 friends dance in a water fountain, and heard the catchiest TV theme song ever. Time to clap, clap, clap, clap and celebrate the 20th anniversary of 'Friends!'

Here's a few things I learned from my obsession with watching 'Friends':

  • "The Rachel" hairstyle always made me jealous. Yes, I got tons of layers cut in to my hair in an attempt to look as good as Rachel, but quickly realized my hair was not thick enough to pull it off. Instead it looked like I got in a fight with a yard trimmer.
  • You can have a fabulous city lifestyle even if you don't really have a job? I never understood how Joey had enough money for rent, or how they all could afford to sit in an expensive coffee shop all the time.
  • It's alright to try the romantic thing with some of your closest friends, or is it? I'm gonna leave it at that.
  • A close group of friends will forever compare and identify themselves as Ross, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Monica, and Phoebe. I will confess, back in the day, I was probably the "Monica" of our group. Minus the chef part. That's not me.

To make sure you celebrate this day properly, I found some cool stuff for you to check out: First, this amazing 3 year old 'Friends' superfan. Secondly, the complete story behind the theme song, "I'll Be There For You."

Lastly, no celebration is complete without a sing-a-long, so here we go...

P.S. Just in case you don't own all of the seasons on DVD, TBS is running a 20 episode marathon today to celebrate. You know what I'll be doing today...
