Happy 75th Birthday to The Wizard of Oz!

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the release of "The Wizard of Oz," and here are some little known facts I found about one of our favorite childhood movies.Now, you may already know that Toto the dog got paid a higher weekly salary than the munchkins, and that Dorothy's slippers weren't originally red, but did you know that most of the movie's stars were left permanently scarred by their costumes, or that the Tin-Man wasn't actually getting oiled with grease? Looks like I need to dust off my old VHS tape this afternoon and teach Ella that there truly is "no place like home." I just hope she is not traumatized by the flying monkeys like her Mom was when she was little.
