There are some of us who would love to see Fall continue and not see any of the white stuff. An old friend of Rockford gives us some good news about that.

Former Channel 13 Meteorologist Eric Sorenson,  who is now on the WQAD morning show in the Quad Cities, talks about why we are not seeing the cold weather like we usually do this time of year. When you look at the trees, there are still plenty of color on the leaves. He thinks the warm weather will continue for the rest of the month.

As long as the Polar Vortex stays north we should be fine.

If you are hoping for a white Christmas, he thinks that there could be a 50/50 chance. If you are a warm weather lover, enjoy it while it last. That cold weather from Russia could be on its way soon.
