Golfing For Wounded Warriors

The World's Largest Golf Outing for Wounded Warriors of America was held Monday at Forest Hills Country Club. The day was a success. Here are the results.

While attending the opening round of the World's Largest Golf Outing for The Wounded Warriors Project Monday, August 3 at Forest Hills Country Club, I felt a sense of pride, and comfort knowing we were a part of something special.

This event will benefit Wounded Warriors and create awareness for our Vets at the same time.

Over 106 golfers locally joined in the fun along with thousands of golfers in America, golfing for the same cause on the same day. Over $716,000 dollars raised to date as well.

It was a day filled with patriotism, pride, admiration and appreciation. As a Vet was returning to his golf cart after giving a heart felt welcome speech, a golfer captured the essence of the day with a simple "Thank you for your service" shout out which brought on applause.

It was a perfect way to enjoy a sunny day in the Stateline.
