Get yourself a brat for breakfast, lunch or dinner with the Alpine Kiwanis Brat Days.

Coming this Friday and Saturday, July 15th - 16th, is the annual Alpine Kiwanis Brat Days.

The Kiwanis are celebrating their 40th year of giving back to our community with their annual days of enjoying delicious Johnsonville Brats with chips and soda or water for either $6 with advance tickets or $7 the day of.

Those brats will be served up piping hot along with some other favorite choices of meatless barbeque and vegetarian brats at the locations of Edgebrook - 1639 N. Alpine Road, Rockford, and the Schnucks at 6410 E. State St., Rockford, and 1810 Harlem Road, Loves Park. Both Schnucks locations will have a drive-thru service available for convenience.

The hours to  get your brats will be from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday the 15th and from 11 A.M. to 5:30 P.M on Saturday the 16th.

The breakfast brats will be available for $3 at all locations from 6 A.M. to 9 A.M.

100% of the Brat Days proceeds are "given directly to non-profit organizations and area youth in the form of scholarships in addition to national disasters."

Wow! That is a pretty awesome and yummy way to support and give back to our community.

I have to say their brats are really yummy and I think what makes them taste even better is knowing all of the good the  Alpine Kiwanis do.
