Get a Free (and Safe) Ride Home On New Year’s in Winnebago County

Here are a few things I know about New Year's Eve; drinking is usually involved, and cops know it. It is definitely not a night you want to risk driving impaired, and you will likely have to wait a while to snag an Uber or Lyft ride.

If you've got big plans for New Year's Eve, and no designated driver, no worries, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department has your back!

I realize getting a ride home in the back of a cop car is not usually a good way to end a fun night, but this one will be, and it's completely free!
