Garth Brooks Postpones Two Baltimore World Tour Dates

Due to an impending snowstorm, Garth Brooks has postponed two of his Baltimore, Md., World Tour dates.

The country superstar was originally scheduled to perform on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 22 and 23, respectively) at the city's Royal Farms Arena. However, due to a snowstorm that is predicted to dump 1-2 feet of snow in the area, Brooks has postponed the shows by about a week: The Jan. 22 show has been rescheduled for Jan. 31 at 3PM, while the Jan. 23 show will take place on Jan. 31 at 7PM.

Per the Baltimore Business Journal, Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood's publicists say that the postponements are being made to ensure concertgoers' safety, as well as the safety of those involved with the show. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has declared a state of emergency for the state beginning at 7AM on Friday.

In addition to the rescheduled shows on Jan. 31, Brooks and Yearwood will be performing on Jan. 29 at 7PM and Jan. 30 at 7PM and 10:30PM.

The 2016 leg of Brooks' World Tour began on Jan. 14 in Sunrise, Fla. A complete list of Brooks' World Tour dates, both past and upcoming, is available here.

Brooks has been raking in big bucks on his World Tour: He earned the No. 3 spot on Forbes' list of 2015's highest-paid musicians, thanks largely in part to the more than $1 million he raked in at every tour stop. (Brooks earned a total of $90 million in 2015.)
