Garth Brooks has never played in Grand Rapids, Mich. -- but that's about to change. The country superstar has announced his first-ever stop in the city, set for May.

Brooks' World Tour will play in Grand Rapids on May 12 at 7:30PM; May 13 at 7PM and 10:30PM; May 14 at 7PM and 10:30PM; and May 15 at 7:30PM. The concerts will be at the city's Van Andel Arena and will be Brooks' only Michigan appearance in 2016. As with all of his World Tour dates, his wife, Trisha Yearwood, will be his special guest.

Tickets for Brooks' Grand Rapids shows are scheduled to go on sale on April 15 at 10AM ET; a limit of eight tickets per purchase will be in effect. Tickets will cost $66.23, plus a $2.50 facility fee and a $6.25 service charge, totaling $74.98, and will be on sale through Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-866-448-7849 or 1-800-745-3000.

The 2016 leg of Brooks’ World Tour began in mid-January in Florida. Dates are currently scheduled through July, with more to be announced. In addition to Grand Rapids, upcoming stops include Louisville, Ky.; Columbus, Ohio; Des Moines, Iowa; Fargo, N.D.; and Las Vegas, Nev.

Brooks released his most recent studio album, Man Against Machine, in 2014. Previously, the country superstar had said that a second new record would follow in late 2015 or early 2016, but he recently revealed that he was delaying the project to "explore the writing again."
