Fund Established to Assist Two Stateline Girls Involved in Friday’s Crash With a Semi-Truck
This past Friday two young girls were involved in a very serious accident at Winnebago Corners.
WIFR-TV reports that investigators say that the girl's car was crossing the intersection heading northbound on Winnebago Rd. when it was t-boned by the semi-truck on the driver's side. The driver of the vehicle was flown via medical helicopter to Rockford Memorial Hospital with critical injuries. The passenger was also seriously hurt.
A GoFundMe online fundraiser has been set-up to raise money to give to the girl's families and to assist with the vast medical expenses. The fund was established by the girls' friend Bobbi Jozsa who says
Both girls are fun loving 16 year olds and deserve to continue on with their great lives and smiles. The girls both have a long road ahead of them and will need a lot of hospital care. Please help me, help them. Every little bit counts!
