Someone cue up Katy Perry's "Firework" because baby, businesses in Freeport have banded together to bring Freeport's Fourth of July firework display back to life.

According to WREX, a newly formed committee called "Light the Night Freedom Fest" will light up the sky with peonies, willows, horsetails, kamuros, rings and screaming spiders (not those kind of spiders), on Saturday, July 7th.

That's just this year. By 2019, the group has plans to put together a full festival that includes everything we love during holiday weekends, including food, live music and family fun.
