Florida Georgia Line have revealed their plans to hit the road during the summer of 2016, and in addition to opening acts Cole Swindell, the Cadillac Three and Kane Brown, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard will have two other very important people on tour with them: their wives, Brittney and Hayley, respectively. The duo says that their cross-country treks are much more enjoyable when their significant others are out there with them.

"It’s really cool having our wives out on the road with us. It's the coolest thing," Kelley tells The Boot. "It’s really cool because we love their support, we need their support, and they’re so great at giving it. There’s nothing like singing to them every night ...

"It’s all about balance and finding time, because sometimes on the road, certain weekends can be really, really busy," he adds. "The time that our wives get to be out there, we’re pretty much in and out of the bus, writing, working, doing this, doing that, so we try to schedule something in town. Sometimes on the bus, we’ll have movie nights or go out to dinner."

FGL were recently nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the 2016 ACM Awards, and while they're always happy to add another trophy to their collection, they don't live and die by their victories.

"We’re pretty competitive, but we’re also happy for our friends at the same time," Hubbard explains. "We always want to win, but luckily in country music, we’re all kind of buddies, so it all works out."

Florida Georgia Line's 2016 Dig Your Roots Tour is set to begin this spring. More information about dates, ticketing and the tour is available on their official website.
