As we approach Thanksgiving, this is an opportunity for me to be thankful for many things. Here are five things that  I am thankful for.

Some of these things are trivial and some mean the world to me.

1. Military and public service personnel.

I am very thankful for the daily service they provide each day. My best friend is stationed in Florida for the Air Force and he has served a tour in Iraq. The men and women who protect us and keep us safe is something we all should be thankful for. Especially in this day of age.

2. Chromecast

This invention has been the best thing I ever purchased. I am able to stream all of my sports teams, watch any movie I want and be able to project anything on my laptop to the TV. I have only had this for a week, but so far I am loving it!

3. New Glarus Brewery

Since I am only 20 minutes from the border of Wisconsin, I have found my favorite adult beverage all of time. This tiny town is home to the brewery that produces  Spotted Cow beer. Yes, the beer that has everyone driving all over the place for. I am also thankful that people heed the warning of drinking and driving. If you plan on purchasing this delicious beverage, do it responsibility.

4. My new place to call home

I have only been here for six months, but I feel that Rockford has so much to offer. From the restaurants, to the nightlife, to the caring people of this community,  Rockford is a place that I am thankful to be at right now. I am also thankful for all of the listeners of Q 98.5. I am just grateful for how generous and passionate you are when it comes to helping out. My co-workers have been nothing short of amazing and the people of this town should be proud.

5. My Family

The picture you see are of my two kids. They are my life and I am so thankful to have them in my life. Even though they live more than two hours away, they never cease to amaze me with what they do. Whether it comes to my oldest performing in marching band or my youngest showing me how to dance (yes, I can still hang with them) I would not know what to do without them. I am also thankful for the rest of my family. They have been so supportive of my goals and dreams and now here I am.

Thank you for being a part of my life and have a safe Thanksgiving holiday.
