If you have a smartphone, then you have to have apps on your phone that you just can't live without. Here are my five apps that are a must for me.

I have an IPhone and this app is a must for me. Whether I am checking out what everyone is doing, or I can see what is being posted on our station's Facebook page, this is an app that will always be on my phone. Who wouldn't want to watch Facebook Live when someone is doing something crazy? And you can keep up to date with what is going on in Rockford on our Facebook page.

This app has almost as much use as Facebook. From major fail videos to music videos (yes, they still make those), this is a must have for any phone. Plus, you can go to our Youtube channel to find out what the Q crew has going on.

It is so refreshing to see some positive things in life and Instagram is a perfect way to get that point across. It is also a great way to keep track of people while they are away and having fun while you are stuck at work (just kidding). It is also a great application to have if you want to keep track of the silly things that we do here in the studio.

4. ESPN

As a huge sports fan, this is the ultimate app for your phone. You are able to follow baseball games pitch by pitch. The scores are updated in real time and they have really good articles about your favorite sports teams. There is also a Watch ESPN app that allows you to watch programming on your phone that is not available on TV. Including my new favorite sport, Cricket.

This is the app that I love the most. I can listen to the station wherever I go, including when I go to see my kids on the weekend in Peoria. If there is any breaking weather news, contests that are coming up later in the day, this app lets me know. You can also send videos and pictures to the studio.  If you see something crazy, show everyone at the station. This is a must have for any smart phone.

Those are my five must have apps for my smartphone. Make sure to download our new mobile app and tell us what you think of it. There are more cool features on the way, so be on the lookout for those.
