We asked and you spoke Rockford. The results are in for the top Rockford Country Cover Band of 2016.Before the new year ended, we asked who you thought was the best country cover band in Rockford for 2016. Over 77,000 people let their voice be heard and here are the results.

Congratulations to Back Country Roads! They received almost 65% of the vote. Here is what their Facebook profile says about the band:

"Back Country Roads is a 6 piece band based out of Dekalb, IL. BCR started as a 3 piece acoustic band in April of 2009, then quickly expanded to the 6 piece we are today. We have played at events such as Country Thunder the past 7 years and have opened for Phil Vassar, Darryl Worley, David Lee Murphy, Neal McCoy, Steel Magnolia, Keith Anderson, Grainger Smith, Parmalee, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Cassadee Pope and Easton Corbin. We play mostly current Top 40 Country hits, with a few older selections thrown in the mix as well. We also occasionally leave the Country genre a little bit which gives the audience some variety. Our Facebook fan-base is over 10,5600 fans and continues to grow. We are looking forward to expanding into new areas for another jam-packed fun filled year full of shows"

There were many people who voted for all of our bands that were featured in our poll. It doesn't matter who came in first or on the bottom, all of the bands featured and those who were voted thru write in are all talented and should be recognized.

We also thank you for voting. If you are a huge fan of the local music scene, there is a show that is on Q 98.5 each Sunday night called the Sunday Night Throwdown. Jonny J features a local artist in studio and they get to perform live on the air.
