It finally sold! The famed house, located in Highland Park, IL is where the classic 1986 movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" was filmed. Who could ever forget the classic movie scene where Cameron Frye, drives a classic 1961 Ferrari, crashes it through the pavilion’s plate glass windows into the river behind the home.

The Chicago tribune reports that home sold this past Thursday for $1.06 million. The buyers of the house are an investment banker and a lawyer, are nearby residents and Northwestern University alumni.

This house has been on the market for over five years. The final sale price was for less than half of the $2.3 million that the owners wanted to get the property in May 2009.
