I have never had children but I have always treated my baby sister almost like a daughter. If she was killed by someone I would be in a world of hurt. Finding out that the man who killed my sister was sentenced to 30 months probation would incite a rage this planet has never seen before.

According to rrstar.com, "An Oregon business owner was sentenced Tuesday to probation and community service for his role in the June 2016 boating death of Megan Wells, a Rockford mother of three. Marc Mongan, 48, pleaded guilty in April to one count of reckless conduct — an admission to not properly operating a boat when it fatally struck the pontoon boat Wells, 31, was in when the crash happened around 8:40 p.m. June 24, 2016. Mongan was sentenced to 30 months probation, 300 hours of community service and more than $10,000 in fines."

I do not know all the details nor anything that was brought up in court. All I can do is try to relate with these parents. If I was in their shoes I would be losing my mind right now. I applaud these two for handling this unspeakable situation with class and respect. Here was their reaction when they heard the verdict.

I am so sorry for your loss. This is such a tragedy. Not only for Megan's parents but for her kids as well. Now having to grow up without a mother.
